Denise Valle

Back in July of 2016, Denise Valle left a mark on our community to say the least. The venue for Fireside was still a basement suite at the time, so we became a bit worried on this night when more and more people began to pile downstairs. This continued until Denise could barely get out of the "green room" (the bedroom), and through the crowd to get to the stage. A record amount of people showed up for this show, and she wasn't even local to Calgary. This shows how personal Denise is not only with her music but with her life. Her connections ran deep into the lives of people in Calgary even before she arrived from Saskatoon. The amount of warmth and love present in the room as she performed was tangible and the soulful energy of her music had everyone captivated. Wherever her promising music career takes her, this special night will remain in our hearts as one where we all drew closer as a community. For this we are grateful.
